Diane Bewick

Diane Bewick is a retired senior health executive with decades of leadership experience in public health, community health systems, and nursing. Most recently serving as Director of Family Health Services and Chief Nursing Officer at the Middlesex-London Health Unit, Diane led multi-disciplinary teams, shaped policy, and helped guide public health response to major community challenges, including disease outbreaks and emergency preparedness. Her career reflects deep expertise in maternal and child health, program development, health system integration, and cross-sector collaboration.
Diane holds a Master of Science in Nursing (Administration) and a Diploma in Public Administration from Western University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto. She has held academic appointments at Western University, the University of Toronto, and Johns Hopkins University, contributing to curriculum development and student mentorship. Diane has published on public health systems, spoken at national and international conferences, and contributed to key government and professional health initiatives across Canada.
She has served on numerous boards and task forces, including the Ontario Public Health Association, Community Care Access Centre, London Intercommunity Health Centre, and Madame Vanier Children’s Services, often holding executive leadership roles. From 2006 to 2012, Diane served her first term on the Board of Directors at Mission Services of London, where she chaired the Program Planning Committee and contributed to strategic initiatives across multiple programs, including emergency shelter, addiction recovery, and community mental health programs.
Diane’s connection to Mission Services of London is rooted in her Christian faith and lifelong commitment to service. Now in her second term on the Board of Directors, she continues to be actively involved in her church community and finds spiritual purpose in supporting organizations that care for those most vulnerable in society.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Diane enjoys music, family time, and participating in Christian camp ministries that have shaped her life since childhood.
