A Commitment to Feeding Hope in the Community
For Robert Lewkowitz, giving back isn’t an obligation but a reflection of gratitude.
“I count my blessings every day,” he says simply.
As the owner of Lewkowitz Financial, Robert has built a career helping others grow and manage their wealth. But he is equally mindful that many in his community are still struggling to meet their most basic needs. That awareness, combined with a deep sense of compassion, has shaped his long-standing relationship with Mission Services of London.
“We are very privileged to help people grow their wealth, and we are mindful that there are many in our community who do not have enough,” Robert explains. “We can help bridge that gap with this sponsorship.”

A practical solution with lasting impact
Robert’s latest act of generosity is both practical and purposeful: sponsoring the replacement of Mission Services of London’s aging refrigerated van.
The new van ensures the organization can continue a vital service—collecting donated food from local grocery stores and community partners to supply its three kitchens. Those donations directly support the preparation of more than 258,000 meals and snacks each year across Men’s Mission, Rotholme Family Shelter, and Quintin Warner House.
With food costs rising and demand increasing, the impact is significant for Mission Services of London: It helps keep food budgets in check as grocery prices climb and it prevents quality food from going to waste. The support from the community is incredible and the van is out doing pickups around the city six days a week.
“We are good at what we do, and Mission Services of London is good at what it does, so it made sense to partner to meet a need in the community,” says Robert.
For Mission Services of London, the partnership is deeply appreciated.
“We are so blessed by the generosity of our community and thankful that Robert and Lewkowitz Financial were willing to partner with us to continue this integral connection with community partners to help supply our three kitchens,” says Tara Saunders, Director of Social Enterprise, Development & Communications.
The decision to sponsor the van was a collective one as Robert involved both his family and his team, reflecting the shared values at the heart of his business.
“We care about each other, our clients, our community, and we want to help make a difference for our vulnerable neighbours.”
Seeing the need up close
Situated in the heart of the city, Robert’s office is rooted in the very community he serves. It’s here that he sees firsthand both the challenges people face and the compassion that emerges when a community comes together.
That spirit is especially visible during the Coldest Night of the Year, Mission Services of London’s signature winter fundraiser. As the event’s lead sponsor for several years, Robert and his team welcome participants with hot cider, coffee, and snacks as they walk in support of those experiencing homelessness.
Meeting basic needs, offering renewed hope
At its core, Robert’s giving is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to life’s essentials.
“Access to healthy food and water are such basic needs,” he reflects. “We wanted to do something to help.”
He hopes that those who turn to Mission Services of London feel more than just relief from hunger.
“We want anyone coming for help to know that they are loved, cared for, and that a nourishing meal and a place to stay can provide the hope needed to move forward.”

A call to action
Robert is clear-eyed about the growing need in the community, but he is equally focused on action.
“There is a great deal of need in our community right now. All of us can be guilty of complaining about the situation our struggling neighbours face, but let’s be part of the solution.”
For him, sponsoring the refrigerated van was one tangible way to step forward and make a difference.
Guided by his faith, Robert draws inspiration from Matthew 25:40:
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Through humility, compassion, and action, Robert Lewkowitz demonstrates what it means to give with purpose. By recognizing his own blessings, he continues to help ensure others in his community have something just as essential: a meal, a place of care, and the hope to move forward.
