Community Challenge for Addiction Treatment Aftercare Program

Through an anonymous donor and the RBJ Schlegel Family Foundation, we have $1.1 million committed to the Wilfred Schlegel Aftercare Program, a continuum of care offered to the graduates of our Quintin Warner House Addiction Treatment Program. 

The committed funding is the start that will help enable more of the men who complete the four-month live-in addiction treatment program access to Wilfred Schlegel Aftercare Program. This is a comprehensive program that includes the option of the safe haven of abstinence-based housing through our Annexes. Here, the graduates continue to build on the skills and healthy coping mechanisms that they learned in the treatment program, as well as areas such as interpersonal skills, financial literacy, cooking, job applications and interviewing skills. Graduates who have moved onto other locations are able to continue their access to dedicated Aftercare Addictions Counsellors and Relapse Prevention Groups.

The RBJ Schlegel Aftercare Program is mostly funded by private community donations. This $1.1 million commitment, matched by our community supporters, will help ensure this integral support is available to many more men in the future and their goals for recovery. The seeds we plant today will bear fruit in the future of our community.
