Development Officer (Monthly and Mid-Level Giving)

Mission Services of London, a non-profit organization committed to serving residents of London and Middlesex County with compassion and dignity, is seeking a permanent full-time Development Officer (Monthly & Mid-level Giving). This role reports to the Director of Social Enterprise, Development & Communications. The Development Officer will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of donors, building meaningful relationships through engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with monthly and mid-level donors, serving as their main point of contact.
  • Thank and steward first-time donors, encouraging continued engagement and support.
  • Reach out to donors by phone or email to share appreciation, discuss monthly giving or upgrades, recruit event participants, and solicit sponsorships or gifts.
  • Identify potential legacy and major gift prospects and refer them to the Development Team.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and interaction notes in Salesforce CRM.
  • Track follow-ups and collaborate with the Development Team to provide stewardship materials and donor communications.
  • Assist with donor mailings, welcome packages, and database updates.
  • Support fundraising events and donor engagement activities, including sponsorship coordination for select events.
  • Respond to donor inquiries and concerns to ensure a positive donor experience.
  • Handle confidential donor and financial information with care.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the Development Team.

Qualifications:

  • post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a donor relations or customer service relevant role.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems (Salesforce an asset).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Position Details :

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week.
  • There is an expectation to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Pay: from CA$24.00 per hour
