$1.1 Million Investment to Strengthen Mission Services of London’s Addiction Recovery Aftercare Program
Mission Services of London receives a $500,000 commitment from the RBJ Schlegel Family Foundation in support of its addiction treatment aftercare program, a part of its continuum of care for the Quintin Warner House Addiction Treatment Program graduates.
The funding will help enable more of the men who complete the four-month live-in addiction treatment program the safe haven of abstinence-based housing with supports as they transition from treatment to independent living.
“We are grateful for the RBJ Schlegel Family Foundation’s investment in our aftercare program and its commitment to fostering community and comprehensive supports for the men in our care,” states Ericka Ayala Ronson, Mission Services of London’s Executive Director.
The aftercare program will be renamed as the Wilfred Schlegel Aftercare Program. Wilfred Schlegel and his wife, Emma, were one of the families involved in starting Mission Services of London in 1951.
“As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, this gift carries profound significance. Naming the program after one of our founders is a powerful tribute to Wilfred Schlegel whose vision helped build this organization and whose values continue to guide our work. It is a fitting reminder that the impact of leadership and generosity can extend across generations,” says Ayala Ronson.
Rob Schlegel, one of Wilfred Schlegel’s grandsons and a board member of RBJ Schlegel Family Foundation comments, “Wilfred dedicated his life to taking care of and including those on the periphery of the community. It is important to the family to continue his legacy.”
Recognizing the importance of strengthening recovery supports and helping men continue on their paths of recovery and sobriety, an anonymous donor has stepped forward with a $600,000 matching commitment to help build on the investment made by the RBJ Schlegel Family Foundation.
Together, this $1.1 million will enable us to continue to provide this continuum of support to our graduates. But our work does not stop here.
