A Gift This Christmas Season
As the weather turns colder and homes fill with warmth and light, Mission Services of London is reminded of how many of our neighbours may be facing a very different reality this season — one of challenges from experiencing homelessness through the holidays.

Throughout the years, Mission Services of London has met thousands bracing for the winter without a warm place to sleep. Mike* was one of them, sleeping where he could and moving from spot to spot.
“At that time, I couldn’t tell you why I did it,” Mike explains about his constant moving, “but I would stay in a place for a little while, then just panic and feel the need to escape and go somewhere else.”
When Mike came to Men’s Mission, he was quiet, exhausted, and believed this was just another temporary stop on his journey. As Mike ate the first meal he’d had in days, one of the caseworkers sat and listened to his story. Slowly, his panic subsided. Over the next few weeks, with the help of his case worker and other members of the team, Mike finally began to feel safe and look towards the future.
In fact, all of the men who stay at Men’s Mission are working one-on-one with a caseworker to take the steps towards stable housing. And that’s why we need your help today.
With the support of trained mental health professionals, Mike was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and OCD. “Once I found out, I felt a huge sense of relief,” Mike reflects.

Understanding his struggles led him to start his healing journey. Mike, and so many others like him, receive so much more than shelter and meals at Men’s Mission. They receive support as they lay the stepping stones toward a different tomorrow, and they have someone to walk that journey with them.
But we can’t do it without you.
Please give your Christmas gift today to maximize your impact and help men like Mike experiencing homelessness.
Thank you.
