Rotholme Women's & Family Shelter is a 41-bed facility that primarily accommodates families ( two parent and single parent families, both male and female led).  Single women who have no other shelter options may also reside at Rotholme Women's & Family Shelter. The length of stay varies from one day to several weeks. Twenty-four hour emergency admission is provided for families and single women age 16 and over, and who:
-are homeless and in need of temporary emergency accommodation;
-are in crisis and require emergency shelter and care.

Caseworkers and a Child and Youth Worker provide crisis counselling and assist clients to re-enter the community. They refer clients to community agencies and help them plan an appropriate support system. Support service for clients with mental health or concurrent disorders is available through referral to the Community Mental Health Programs. We participate with the Hostels to Home Pilot project to assist hard to serve clients to succeed in their own homes.
